New York Times Education Blog

The New York Times education blog is up and running with its first piece of the school year! Six teachers from throughout the U.S. are contributing. The first Lesson Plans piece, by Joseph Santini, is wonderful. Check it out! My first article for the blog should run either tomorrow or Thursday.

Beautifully written piece. I added a comment, so far you have 24, but they are awaiting approval.

Thanks Schoolgal! How could you tell the number of comments awaiting approval? The editor will begin posting the comments in the morning!

When I signed on the night before, there was a 24 listed in my comment box after I submitted. It is held for approval. But when I checked the next day, my comment was the first.

You can post a comment the night before and if it is approved it will appear. I sometimes comment on the election. btw, Maureen Dowd is now accepting comments.

Of course, I still miss your DoE stories. They are among the best.
